We are at least 10 months away from the next big reveal from one of the world’s most popular smartphone brand and speculations have already started building around how the phone is going to look like, what will be the configuration and yada yada.

The current lineup offers 4 GB RAM and this might change with the iPhone 12 series.
According to a report by ‘Nikkei Asian Review‘, iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will offer 6 GB RAM while iPhone 12 will be equipped with 4.
In addition, the iPhone 12 series is also expected to be powered by the A14 Bionic chipset with a dedicated 5G modem that supports mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrum. These phones are expected to use a 5G modem designed by Qualcomm (probably the Snapdragon X55) and will be manufactured by TSMC’s 5nm.

A chipset based on 5nm fabrication can pack-in more number of transistors per mm compared to 7nm fabrication. Plus, it will also be more efficient, offering far superior better battery life.
The upcoming iPhone Pro models are also expected to offer a quad-camera setup compared to the triple camera setup on the current Pro models. In addition to the telephoto, wide-angle, and an ultra-wide angle lens, the future iPhones are likely to include a 3D ToF(Time-of-Flight) sensor similar to the Galaxy Note 10+.
iPhone SE 2 is on Deck!
Before the launch of next-gen mainstream iPhones, Apple is certain to launch the successor to iPhone SE with an affordable price tag.
SE 2 is likely to mimic the iPhone 11 in terms of hardware specifications with the iPhone 8 like form-factor. This is also expected to be the most affordable iPhone (lol, nevermind) with Face ID.
